Within 30 mins walk from the Lodge you too could be taking this picture from "High street" on Applethwaite Common. From left to right we have Lake Windermere in the Dip, the hamlet of Troutbeck in the centre with Wansfell towering above, and Kirkstone Pass (Red Screes) to the right. Limefit Park (Brown Lodges) can just be seen behind the 3rd fence-post, left of the gate.
